Eclipse Premiere - New York

No I didn't go... I wish!

Also wish the Twilight cast could be bothered to come to London!?!? I so would have gone if it wasn't for that slight catch. Rude.

Anyway...

I LOVE Taylor Lautner's shoes here!
The way they look like he's been walking in the rain, or worn them lots at the front, looks really good. Not sure whether they are intentionally like this or not (I might go on a hunt for the designer) but I like it. It works. It takes the suit from bland suit to "oooo hello I'm a bit more interesting than a suit guy!"

Dree Hemingway's skirt is beautiful! The way it cocoons around her body is gorgeous.

Rachel Zoe looks haggard in this photo as usual. I've heard so many bad things about her and how she turns all her clients anorexic. It's not lovely. And it doesn't look great.
On the other hand, Georgina Chapman has really made looking pregnant glamorous. (Not that being pregnant isn't glamorous, it is, this dress has made her look like she isn't even pregnant at all).

All that matters this summer...

My sister's kittens!
We got them over the weekend and I am absolutely smitten with them!
They are still unnamed. My sister thinking Ebony and Willow. But I kind of feel like the grey one should be called Whisper - it just felt right to me. They're both girls, and so far all my sister can come up with are boy names!

Playing Hide and Seek under the sofa!

They are so cute, and they take up nearly all the thoughts in my head at the moment, so I haven't been very productive the past couple of days.
To be honest what with it being summer I haven't been very productive AT ALL.

But tomorrow that will change. I'm going to take my laptop and sit in the garden and do research tomorrow. (I bet it will rain now to spite me!)

I like...

I like long in depth conversations with a friend you've not really talked to properly before...

I like my rabbit. R.I.P.

I like looking at images of the galaxy.

I like clearing out my room and organising everything into precise places (although whilst at work my room always ends up like Karl Lagerfeld's - with piles of books and papers everywhere).

I'd love a room that organised.

I like my Vogue's all organised on my shelves like Anna Wintour in The September Issue.

I like this advert:
" It's yellow, it's ugly, it doesn't go with anything, but it could save your life. "
Genius.

I like these adverts from during Paris Fashion Week, they were well targeted.

They're by Dimitri Daniloff. They were really eye-catching and straight to the point whether you could read french or not (in my case I can).

I like it when things go right. It's not often they do. But when they do, it's good.

.L.O.V.E.

It's been a while.
But...

I love this.

Watch it.

On a completely other note. I'm trying to win a Polaroid Camera off e-bay as something special for a friend's 21st. I also want for my 21st a Diana camera. I'm all for cameras this year. I used my Dad's old Canon film camera when I was in Paris, I used a black and white film. Hopefully, because it's old it will create some nice grainy images. Still haven't developed the film yet, but now I'm home I'll get that done soon as.

It's weird being back home for the summer. I've got so used to being able to just knock on Nutter's door next door, and sit in her room and watch Friends. That now I'm home it's pretty lonely. Plus my best friends' have all got men now, it feels like we're all growing up and separating a little bit. It's strange. And a bit sad. Everyone's growing up and I feel like I should too... but where's the fun in that?

Anybody else excited for Toy Story 3?

om nom nom nom

Okay what is with Pizza Express?
I have noticed that every time I go there and order a pizza, I get a pizza with a side of burnt. Why is the bottom always without fail burnt? Which just makes the whole pizza taste like charcoal?!
I must remember this before I order the pizza rather than after I've put the first bite in my mouth.

I went home this weekend, saw my best friend and my sister and my bunny wabbit and it was lovely.
It's weird being back at uni, but also being back at uni and having to pack up all my stuff!!! It's so weird!
Also for the past month I've been living with an unsure deadline as to when I will be moving out, until today. You see I applied for this job, which I never really thought I'd get anything I just applied because I wanted to see if I could, and I got through all the interview stages and stuff, but then I didn't get the job. I found out today. So you see with this undecided job offer over my head I wasn't sure when it would be that I would be leaving, so it felt like ages away. Now I know I am leaving in a weeks time. And it's actually sad.

On to another topic....
In the last project I did, which I will admit I didn't put my best into it, I never do and I wish I did every time, I made two toiles for two garments, Through this I remembered how much I LOVE making things. For the past year we've just been designing and it's been interesting, but putting my own garments together now that was fun. I was blissfully happy sat at my sewing machine chugging away with the fabric slipping through my hands. It has made me decide that I will actually make something this summer. Oh yes. I will.

And my first effort will be....

Dun dun duhhhhhhhh....

A dress Anne Hathaway wore in the film Bride Wars.
Okay so I know it's not much, but I really like it and I want to make it for myself rather than just going on some long massive fruitless hunt for one exactly like it.
I'm pretty excited to start it and I've already been thinking of ways it will be put together and what I'll have to do to the basic pattern of the dress to alter it to be like this.
So fingers crossed it turns out well.

Next I want one of these T-shirts from American Apparel:

In a large size, so that I can add an elastic into the waistband to make it elasticated the waist. Or just take it in at the sides to make it more fitted and flare back out to the bottom. I haven't decided which colour pattern is best yet and which way to alter it would work best. This idea needs a bit more thinking.

Last note:
Check out Unicorn Kid's new song Dream Catcher, it is amazing! Also if you're on youtube check out his Rob da Bank session of his song Temples. It is epic. I am in love with it!
