.R.I.P. 3 Years Today

Heath Ledger
It's still weird to think you're gone.

And then next month its Alexander McQueen :'(

So finished and handed in my Creative Cut project.
*phew*
Now work experience for five weeks!
But first.... I'm home :D
Whoopee!

I went to London today with my friend Tea and we spent forever wandering round Libertys (me feeling up Christopher Kane's nebula collection and crying inside knowing I will never own any of it, ever, her sighing over many pairs of shoes in the shoe section, then the both of us in the vintage section ooh-ing and aah-ing over the Chanel jackets and dresses).
We also went into Selfridges and spent like an hour searching the Jean Pierre Braganza's section to then find out they had sold out! and were waiting for the delivery of the new collection! Boo :(
But I did buy What Shall I Wear Today book by Fifi Lapin:
Check her out here: Fifi Lapin
The book is amazing! I was reading it on the train home.
We then went into House of Fraser, where Tea tried on some jeans in the sale, and the service was atrocious! They didn't have enough staff to watch over the changing rooms, so I had to go find a sales person to help out this lady in one of the cubicles TWICE. Seriously! (HIRE ME)
And so that was pretty much my day! I'm pretty excited to be home. Going for a pub lunch with my bestie tomorrow :)

More soon.

Hello 2011!

It’s a new year, which means new trends, new fashion 'faux-pas', new designers, new everythinggg! But to start a new year we need to look back to the past year to see how great it was. We should never forget what we have experienced! So lets take a quick look into 2010’s fashion experiences…

We lost Alexander Lee McQueen (1969 – 2010) in February. True tragedy. He brought us armadillo shoes, dead bird dresses, skull scarves, amazing reptile digital prints and so much more.

We craved the Miu Miu prints on EVERYTHING in January/February. Zara and ASOS brought out cat print dresses/playsuits in celebration of the craze!

And then we loved everything twisted and draped thanks to Christopher Bailey at Burberry Prorsum. Which led us on to wanting everything Emma Watson wore…

From Burberry Prorsum to Christopher Kane to Rafael Lopez, we loved them all this year! What’s to come next year?

With Risto Bimbiloski and Peter Pilotto and Christopher Kane doing nebula prints, we all fell in love with the galaxy this year. I know I went a bit crazy for them…

Chanel’s Spring/Summer made us want clogs for every outfit and Chanel tattoos…

March – When Lady Gaga had to be helped out of her outfit on a plane due to threats of DVT.
Fashion has its price!

And in May Sex and the City 2 came out. Definite fashion influence there!

And Gossip Girl came back to steal our hearts and fill our tv with plots and girly tiffs…

And in November we all ran to H&M for Lanvin’s collaboration, which near where I live sold out by lunchtime. I think Alber Elbaz did quite a good job, don’t you think?

In December at the British Fashion Awards Alexa Chung won Best Dressed, Phoebe Philo for Celine won Designer of the Year. And many other awards were handed out to people like Christopher Bailey, Alexander McQueen and Nicholas Kirkwood.

And so what will come in 2011?
We’ve had a good 2010.
Let’s just wait and see!
