yep i'm still fifteen.
if you can tell me why i still love him - do explain!

I felt like doing this little blog as I was bored. And I've been working all evening so I felt the need for something to lift my spirits!
Also I haven't really spoken about boys in a while.
Yes I'm still slightly head over heels for EJ. But that's a complicated one right there.
It's that feeling when you dislike them when they aren't around but as soon as they walk into the room and notice you, you just melt a little bit.
Why won't it go away?!?

Well anyway it's pretty late and I've done enough work for tonight I think.
Night all!

notion.

I bought this magazine the other day. And I think I'm actually in love with it?!?
I've never seen it before because it's not often I get to go into big newsagents with a large array of magazines.
This was also an accidental find. It was put in the wrong place by someone in WHSmith, and I just was instantly attracted to the design of it. The magazine was a bit battered though so I went on a hunt for a nicer version, took me a while but I found them in amongst the music magazines.
It's actually really amazing! It mixes fashion with music, my two all time loves. Plus it has Josh Beech on the front - yummmmmm!
I just think the photography is really interesting inside it. And I've just loved it since I got it. It's proudly placed on my bookshelf now and I'm not going to cut anything out of it because it's too nice to do that too.

On to another note.
Am completely coveting these:

How beautiful?!?
They're Louise Goldin for Topshop.
£150.
As if I can afford that though :(
They remind me of the Louboutin's that Henry Holland keeps wearing.

Addictedddddd.

Anyway it's time to clean the bomb site that is my bedroom.

night out.

Another night out with the girls.

Yeah the trolley ended up in the kitchen... with the traffic cone..

Being a student is so much fun!
You could never do a lot of the things we get up to if you were an adult. It would just look weird.
It was a good night :)

five secrets.

Shhhhhhhhh...

1. I still think one day I'll find him in bed with my best friend.

2. Sometimes I'm too scared to ask questions because I don't want to sound stupid.

3. Every time you speak I zone out.

4. I regret everything I ever did with you. The thought of the whole thing makes me cringe and I wish it had never happened. Pushing it to the back of my mind is impossible.

5. I have no idea what choices I'm going to make. But I always make the wrong ones.

Wolves

I have quite a big obsession with wolves.
I have to buy some item of clothing if it has a wolf on it.
I have quite a large collection of wolf clothing now. I've got a jumper from Topman, a jumper from Lazy Oaf, a t-shirt from ASOS, a t-shirt and vest top from Dorothy Perkins, a top from Drop Dead... Those are the ones that come to mind. I have more.
I just think wolves are so beautiful.
And if I was an animal I would be a wolf. Because wolves are very family orientated. They stick to their clan for life (unless of course you're a male then sometimes you get booted out because you try to dominate). They're so strong and powerful.
I also have a tattoo of a wolf on my foot. It's an outline, it has no colour - except for green eyes which you barely notice - or detailing to it. It was my first tattoo when I turned 19. I've had it for over a year now and I still don't hate it. I wanted a wolf for such a long time, since I was very young. I always knew I wanted a wolf tattoo. So that's probably why I don't regret it and won't regret it.
In fact I'm tempted to get another wolf up my side but this time with a lot more detailing and more lifelike. But I'm saving this for a long way down the line. And often when people try to get lifelike tattoos of wolves they turn out so great, I find.

On another note Nutter got a blog today :D It's on tumblr.
She has so far posted a picture of peanuts, and some pictures of her work. Heh.

The Fashion Book.

In an effort to make this blog a bit more fashion related and for me to learn a bit more about fashion designers, I'm going to take my fashion book, flip to a random page and research the designer that comes up on that page and post it on this blog. I might not do this every time I write a blog but I will try to do this as often as possible.

So here goes...

Ley Wolfgang and Margaretha (Escada)

Escada was launched in 1976 by Wolfgang and Margaretha Ley, it was named after a winning racehorse.

Images from Escada.com

When Escada first started out they originally came up with a style much like the bourgeois look. Nautical stripes, sexy suits but with unusual combinations of colours and patterns. They were well known for their use of sequins to every surface. In the past decade or so Escada have taken a new approach.

Their Spring/Summer 2010 collection I see is bright, bold summer colours, that instantly make you think of pure white sands, light blue water with little movement, cool breeze, sunshine and palm trees. I like the geometric patterns and shapes they've got going on.
The colours used remind me of peacock feathers but brighter. I love the shade of green they;re using. Reminds of me of fresh grass.
The animal prints and the nudes are sexy.

Well that's Escada for today!

I need to go take some Buttercup syrup so stop this horrible cough!

you never forget where you were when you heard...

I was in the production room at uni, sewing the tailored jacket we have to make together, just putting my first pocket in when my mum text me to say Alexander McQueen was dead.
I was stunned and didn't really believe her. I instantly called her not caring that I was in a lesson to find out if it was really true.
It's such a loss for the fashion world, his family, his lover.

It's just all so sudden.
Bunny, Irish and I were sat in shock.
It's so strange as well because for the past two weeks I've been looking at the Alexander McQueen dvd in the library and thinking to myself I really want to watch it, should I take it out, do I have time to watch it... Deliberating for days.
And it was only monday when we had a seminar about him and his collections. And it was so interesting!

It's just such a loss.

Rest In Peace Lee McQueen.

*squeal*

When I checked my e-mail this morning I was over excited!
I did squeal a little bit!
H! by Henry Holland is now online!!!
And I spent some money...
Oh my.

But I bought:

the jacket.

the shirt.

I have wanted the jacket ever since I saw it on the Grazia video about his collection.
I still want the boots, but I don't want to go over the top on spending money.

the boots.

That's all for today.
I now have a cold though. &I missed a blizzard because I fell asleep whilst watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with Gingey.

sorting things out.

So it's on the up from now on hopefully!
My thinkings done and I realised I needed it.

On another note. Burberry.
I looooveeeeee Burberry Prorsum. Christopher Bailey is a genius!
Looking at the catwalk clothes they just look so much better on Emma Watson.
They don't look so great on size zero girls, they suit girls with normal body weight and curves.

I mean they just look so much better. It looks like Christopher Bailey has designed them for curvier models, they fill them out better and don't make the shape look like it's hanging off a stick.

Hanging off stick.
That's attractive...
As you can tell I'm completely against the whole starving yourself idea.
I mean I have so many friends who just literally have problems with eating. I'm not going to name names, because that's just harsh. But I mean they're all perfectly skinny, with perfect bodies, I'd kill for. And yet they strive to be skinnier.
And a few of them just go on about eating for like an eternity. They just go on about how fat they are and how they can't eat that and can't eat this, and constantly read the calories off the food I'm eating to me. Yeah thanks as if I didn't already know or care particularly. That's the worst part, when they read the calories of what I'm eating to me and look at me as if to think "you shouldn't be eating that" - you can just tell in the look. Thank you for thinking that "friend".
Anyway. Rant over.

Basically starving yourself isn't cool.
I'll probably get shouted at for this.

On to my next point of interest. I heard from a friend who went for a job at Debenhams and she heard that H! is heading out hopefully March time.
*fingers crossed*

I want a baby chinchilla!
Don't just say they look like drowned rats. They are super super cute!
My sister used to want a chinchilla when we were younger and I never really saw the attraction because I was small then. And our mum always said no. But now I'm older I understand her want for one. We have plans to get one for my sisters house haha!
My flatmate and I were watching baby chinchilla videos on youtube last night, way to entertain ourselves I know. But they are sooooo sweet! &Baby hedgehogs.
We were also discussing getting hamsters next year. One each. I want a little ginger one :)
Not sure what I'd call it. I'm tempted by a silly celebrity name because I think that would be quite amusing. Since it's ginger I'd either call it Rupert Grint for a boy or Debra Messing for a girl. Ha :)

Henry Holland

I am absolutely in love with this man.
Like dedicated to him.

I am so excited for H! to come out in Debenhams, I've been checking the Debenhams website everyday for the past two weeks just in case and nothingggggg.
Gutted much.
It says February but it is February!!! Don't keep me in such suspense Debenhams!!!!
I've read so much about his collection, I've watched videos about his collection, I've read the blog... I've done everything but buy it!!!
And I want to buy it... so bad...

I [heart] Henry Holland.

I'm desperate to buy the baseball style jacket, with the cute posh girl style Henry Holland logo. And the boots that remind me of All Saints boots but aren't as scruffy.
I'm way too excited for this!

ps. Yes I have just currently realised what a strange word Debenhams is. It may not look strange but try typing it, then it's strange.

Listening to Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap.

pros and cons.

Is it only girls who make pros and cons lists?
I only started making one yesterday because I felt the need to distract myself.
It's really hard to think of them actually. Even if you know the said person pretty well.
I got to about 8 pros and 8 cons.
Bit of a fail there, right?
But then I went out.
And I spoke to... well not the most (I can't think of the word to describe here) - anyway... she's very opinionated. And I realised another pro. In fact two.
  1. Willing to forgive.
  2. (Platonic) Love.
I forgot that in all my hurt. Well I guess I may have a little bit more thinking left to do, but it might be good...

On another hand I have a very special boy in my life.
And I am very lucky to have him there.
I've only met him four times.
But every time I do, my favourite part is waiting at the train station, the feeling of excitement in the pitt of my stomach because it has been a while since I last saw him.
&Then he comes round the corner and I run at him for a big bear hug.
He is one of my favourites, and I'm proud to call him one of my best friends. He sits through all my complaints and worries, and he's always very supportive.
Plus he is pretty much loved by everyone, which makes him even more special.
I am so lucky to have met this boy, he has been a good friend for a year or so now :).

my style.

my style.

I never really feel like I have my own style yet. I feel like I haven't found it.
I mean the clothes in my wardrobe vary a lot.
I've got a lot of florals. But then I've got edgy stuff.
Some days I feel like going for a Gossip Girl look, and then other days I feel more of a Taylor Momsen, Ashlee Simpson look going on. Then there's the days when I'm happiest in my leggings, a long top and a checked shirt on top.
I never wear trousers. Unless I absolutely have to. I much prefer leggings or tights. Dresses, I love. I don't often wear skirts.

In the whole time I've been at uni no one has seen me wear a pair of trousers or jeans yet.

I don't feel like I have my own style because I take inspiration from other people. I take a bit of that and mix it with a bit of this.

We had a lecture on monday about how our own personal style can reflect the person we are. &How friends tend to dress similarly whether they notice it or not, but it's a subconscious way of showing that they are similar and that they are friends.
As soon as our lecturer mentioned this of course we all turned to see what our friends were wearing... And of course it would have to be me and Irish noticing we are wearing pretty much the exact same thing. Leggings, boots, top, and shirt. We never realised how in sync we are until then. It's slightly worrying. Because being fashion students we don't want to look the same. So we're now struggling to not dress the same.

I mean it's cute don't get me wrong. But our lecturer said it usually takes till third year for you to physically notice that friend groups dress the same... Nope. Irish and I take a mere couple of months. Impressive!

Today I am wearing a blue and white stripy tank top, with a peachy cream draped crop vest, black leggings and black long cardigan. Yesterday after the Irish fiasco I changed into ripped leggings with leopard print tights underneath, and a long grey top with my blazer (I was meeting Irish' grandmother - we didn't want to look like total twins who co-ordinate what we're wearing yet...).
Tomorrow I'll probably go for a completely different look. I may feel really girly and go for a floral dress or I may go for an edgy black combo. I don't know.

I can't wait for the day when I realise what my real fluid style is. My clothes might then all match and go together by then...

knocked down.

As usual I've been knocked down.
I'm pretty gutted to be honest.

At the moment I'm applying for work placements for my course, so I applied to an array of places and have only had one reply so far. This reply was from an amazing designer that I don't want to name, but I was so overjoyed that they wanted me, but unluckily they want me at a time that I cannot do for a period of 2 to 3 months. I am completely gutted that I cannot do it as I would have really enjoyed doing it and I would have benefited so much from it.

But oh well. Hopefully another one will come along the way soon *fingers crossed*.
