I heart New York

So as I promised pictures of what I bought in NYC.
The clothes: Abercrombie & Fitch hoody, American Eagle Outfitters T-shirt, Victoria's Secret underwear, I heart NY pyjama bottoms. I also bought an I heart NY t-shirt to turn into a dress which I forgot to photograph.
I'm actually a big postcard collector. Back at home I have loads of vintage Paris postcards on my walls. So I ended up buying quite a few postcards as you will see.
I also bought a few books whilst out in America, because I love the young adults fiction out there for girls. So I bought a couple of them back.
The majority of those sweets aren't even for me! Which is slightly depressing. The Hersheys are a gift for my parents, the peanut butter M&Ms are for my sister, the Reese's are for Nutter and the Skittles are for my friend back at home. I'm seriously a nice person when it comes to buying gifts!

For this current project I have to do a 24 hours in the life of me as my inspiration. And obviously I chose to do it whilst I was in New York. And since the shop I have chosen to do my project on is slightly vintage inspired I've edited my photographs to be polaroids. If only I did have a proper polaroid camera, that would make my day!
Here's a few of what I've chosen:

"do you like your butter muffined?"

Well I'm back from the Big Apple!
So very tired after an overnight flight and a long day of not sleeping. I think I've found the key to not getting jetlag. Just don't sleep. It's worked so far!
I mean I had a slight nap earlier, when Gingey and I were watching a film and we fell asleep, but I kept jolting awake because I was cold... Gingey had stolen most of the blanket. Tsssk.

Believe it or not we got EVERYTHING and more done from our list.
We didn't go to a Broadway show, but we went to a Basketball game instead. Where Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child was there! She looks gorgeous with short hair btw. &I bought a foam finger! Go Knicks!
We got a photograph with a lush policeman. We went up the Empire State Building at night. We visited Bloomingdales, Saks, Victoria's Secret, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Century 21, Borders, American Girl Place, and many others.
We had a cupcake like in Sex and the City, from Magnolia's Bakery (they make THE best cupcakes ever).
We went to the Fashion and Textile Museum, as well as to the MoMa to see the Tim Burton exhibition. That was absolutely amazing! So worth the money! To see his drawings in real life. Oh wow. I was blown away. I've always loved Tim Burton, his drawings are just mindblowingly good.
We had a carriage ride round Central Park, and part of the lake was frozen!
Yesterday morning it snowed!
It was the best trip I have been on in a long time.

And last but not least...
We got put on a billboard in Times Square:

Thank you American Eagle Outfitters!

I'll post a picture of the things I bought hopefully tomorrow!

If you haven't been to New York. Do.
I love the Americans.
