"Proud people breed sad sorrows for themselves."

I've only watched half this film so far. It's pretty intense. I was trying to watch it last night whilst arranging a cinema trip with my friends, and I just kept having to rewind it because it was difficult to listen and text at the same time. Also my french isn't up to scratch so my distraction wasn't helping. After a while I just gave up texting all together and ignored my phone for a while.
I'm absolutely loving this film so far though.
But so far I have found one flaw. One flaw so far. I was told there was a few if you knew a lot about Chanel (as I do).
As most of you fashion enthusiasts should know, Chanel is famous for her use of the fabric jersey in her designs around 1916. From my knowledge (and research) Chanel got the idea of using jersey because she wanted a woven, lightweight fabric, and this is what her supplier offered her. It was also cheap as it was left over from the war. But previous to this jersey was only really used for men's underwear.
See now this is where the film comes in. In the film, one of her lovers Arthur 'Boy' Capel has a jersey shirt that she loves, and it gives the idea that she gets the idea of jersey from this. But surely this is wrong as I said above jersey was only used for men's undergarments!
I did get told there is a difference to Chanel's true history and this film. But I'm just nit picking.

Just add a little note at the end of my nit picking. Boy is rather nice looking for an older man. Wouldn't you agree?
