Satchels

Having a university at the top of a very steep hill, I need a bag to fit everything in that will go over the body. And in my dreams I was thinking a nice old style satchel would be nice. You know like the ones kids used to wear to school in the 1950s.
For example:


I then perusing through some old magazines that I hadn't read whilst at university found the Mark Jacobs Sasha bag.
And wow.
I fell in love instantly. Obviously the price tag was wayyyyy out of my league, but gosh is it gorgeous.

I especially love this brown, it's also available in black and blue but I find the brown attracts my eye more. Oh what I'd give to feel the soft grained lambs leather... Beautiful.
Also the swallows\doves, make the bag sooooo much cuter!

Then on my hunt for a more reasonably priced satchel I found this:

And it just looks beautiful.
The leather, the stitching, the deep black colour, the contrast of the gold tuck locks....
I am hooked.
This one is from ASOS.
Again I can't afford the price tag, so I have settled for the cheaper non-leather version in brown.
But I just love this bag. This bag is like from a dream.
It just looks like something I would probably use forever. I am the kind of person when it comes to bags to get a simple bag with not too much fuss on it and use it till it breaks down on me. Which is what has happened to my current bag.
Oh what I would do to have this bag....
